The comprehensive 12-week EMT program will prepare you for a career in EMS by teaching you key emergency care concepts, by preparing you with practicing technical skills, and by providing you with hands-on patient experience.

Weekly Classroom Sessions: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM

Skills Weekends: Saturday and Sunday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM

Our 12-week program holds convenient evening classes two days per week. If you prefer daytime classes, please consider our 7-week program.

Key Concepts

  • Effective communication skills and documentation techniques

  • Medical terminology, basic anatomy, physiology, and life span development

  • Competent assessment skills, including vital signs, for a medical, trauma, pediatric, and special populations

  • CPR skills and airway management including the placement of supraglottic airway devices

  • General pharmacology

  • Care techniques for respiratory, cardiac, abdominal, allergic reactions/poisonings, pediatric, trauma emergencies, and many others

  • Demonstration of effective vehicle extrication techniques

12-Week Syllabus

Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification

Our program includes Basic Life Support certification to prepare you for emergencies. BLS certification trains in CPR techniques for adult and pediatric patients and provides AED training in the event of cardiac arrest.

Certification Preparation

Total Access EMT has designed the program to prepare you to become a fully licensed EMT. The course will prepare you to take a Psychomotor Skills Exam as well as the NREMT Cognitive Exam.

Employment Opportunities

Do you want to interact with patients and start earning money while completing your 12-week EMT course? You can work at TAUC as a Student EMT during your class term. Tuition Reimbursement

When you work as an EMT at TAUC, we will reimburse your full $1,200 tuition in monthly, tax-free payments upon licensure. These payments are in addition to your full-time pay and benefits.
